Chelsea are preparing a bid believed to be worth £70m for 26-year-old Real Madrid attacker Isco.
The Spaniard has struggles to get some regular action since Santiago Solari replaced sacked manager Julen Lopetegui as head coach earlier on this season, which has led many to believe that the Spain International could be leaving the Bernabeu.
The midfielder has had a very difficult relationship with the Real Madrid supporters, and that has only gotten worse after it emerged that he refused to accept the captain’s armband during a recent Champions League clash against CSKA Moscow.
Manchester United, Arsenal and Manchester City have all been linked with a move for the player, but according to a report by The Sun, Chelsea are on the verge of making an offer of £70m and are hopeful that personal terms can ‘quickly be agreed’.
Last week, it was reported that Madrid would be forced to sell Isco either in January or at the end of the season.
