The Chile international is under contract with the Gunners until the end of next season and has been linked with interest from Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester City and Bayern Munich.
Pep Guardiola apparently extremely keen to work with Sanchez again, whom he signed for Barcelona from Serie A side Udinese back when he was Barcelona manager in 2011.
But Arsenal are digging in their heels over any exit and Sanchez now believes that he won’t be able to leave the Emirates this summer and has accepted this.
Arsene Wenger’s is hoping that with an improvement in form and a realistic challenge for the Premier League title Sanchez may be tempted to sign a new contract with the Gunners.
That will become more likely if the Gunners are able to offer the 28-year-old Champions League football again in the 2018-19 campaign and a realistic challenge for that too.
But Sanchez is mindful that the clock is ticking on his career. He met with representatives from PSG last month, from which reports claimed that his £500,000-a-week wage demands were enough to scupper the deal. Interest from Bayern Munich was also brought to an end when Sanchez asked for £400,000 a week.
