Manchester United to launch €65million bid for 25-year-old playmaker

According to a report in Spain, Manchester United are heavily considering a move for Real Madrid playmaker James Rodriguez after meeting with his agent a week ago.

Spanish newspaper El Confidential, Manchester United are interested in bringing the Colombian to Old Trafford and are preparing their initial offer of €65million to the La Liga giants.

United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward has according to the report, already met with Rodríguez’s agent, Jorge Mendes, on Monday to discuss a potential offer for the player, meaning that if things go as planned he could be making the switch to Old Trafford in the coming weeks.

James Rodríguez has struggled for first-team action last season, especially after Zinedine Zidane took charge.

Do you think this would be a good move for Manchester United.
