Manchester United and Manchester City are set to battle it out for 29-year-old Juventus central defender Leonardo Bonucci. The defender who has also been linked with interest from Chelsea recently but has become a main target for new managers Jose Mourinho at United and Pep Guardiola at City.
Incoming Chelsea boss Antonio Conte was the first to be linked with Bonucci before the end of the season but the Italy international played down the reports stating that the only time he followed Conte was in the queue for the coffee machine back in the Juventus canteen.
But Italian newspaper La Stampa have thrown the names of Manchester United and Manchester City into the mix. Both clubs are looking to strengthen their defence with City willing to offer a loan deal for Eliaquim Mangala in order to make way for Bonucci. United could part ways with Marcos Rojo.
