Reds given boost in ter Stegen transfer

Marc-André ter Stegen

German goalkeeper and Liverpool target, Marc-Andre ter Stegen, sent a message out to the media yesterday as the Barcelona goalkeeper refused to give any guarantees over his future at the Spanish club.

Throughout the past couple of seasons, media has been rife over a potential transfer for the German international as his playing time at the Camp Nou has been seriously limited due to ter Stegen being predominantly used as a Cup Match Keeper.

League match performances have been hard to come by for the 23 year old and it is believed Marc-Andre could now be ready for a move to another club willing to give the player just that.

When asked if a move was on the cards he replied, “It’s a question I get asked a lot but I’m really only thinking about tomorrow (against Arsenal). I want to do my best and the end of the season is far away. You never know what the situation will be. It’s football, we’ll see how things go.”

He added, “The situation is the one we’ve got. Of course you want to play as much as possible, but for now I play in the Champions League and the Copa del Rey and I want to play to my best ability all the time.”

With a number of sides currently monitoring the situation of the German goalkeeper, where do you think Marc-Andre ter Stegen will be plying his trade come next season?
