Arsenal have increased their scouting of Ajax starlet Riechedly Bazoer.
Nicknamed ‘the Dutch Vieira’, Bazoer has been a regular starter of the Ajax first team this season, and according to the Sunday People, scouts of Arsenal have attended almost every game the 19-year-old has been featured in.
With such a subtle nickname, you can understand why Arsene Wenger is interested in Bazoer, and with Arsenal set for an overhaul in the summer, Bazoer could be the appropriate replacement for ageing midfielders Mikel Arteta and Mathieu Flamini.
The central midfielder has already represented his national team in a friendly against Wales, and Bazoer is closing in on 100 appearances for Ajax.
His performances have attracted several of Europe’s top teams, such as Juventus, Napoli and Borussia Dortmund.
Ajax have Bazoer signed up until 2020, however it will only take a bid of around £15million to see the promising teenager leave I Lancieri.
