Wenger eyes Spanish keeper

Arsenal are reportedly monitoring 21-year-old Athletic Bilbao goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga, according to Don Balon.

Arrizabalaga, who is currently on loan at Liga Adelante side Rayo Valladolid, is reportedly being scouted by Arsene Wenger as a potential long-term replacement for Petr Cech. However this move could see the end of David Ospina’s time at the Emirates.

Ospina has been wanting a move away from Arsenal according to recent reports due to lack of first-team football, however Arsenal fans shouldn’t be too upset should Arrizabalaga be brought to the club as Ospina’s replacement.

The 21-year-old has featured 20 times for the Liga Adelante team this season, conceding just 20 goals and claiming six clean sheets this season. Arrizabalaga is also a key player for the Spain U21 team along with Arsenal fullback Hector Bellerin.

Another Spaniard who could be making the move to Arsenal is Juventus striker Alvaro Morata, and according to talkSPORT, the striker is set to leave the Old Lady this transfer window.

Arsenal are one of the teams interested in the former Real Madrid striker, however they face competition from old rivals Tottenham, who are also interested in the 23-year-old attacker.
