According to the Spanish source, Don Balon, Liverpool are keen to make a move on Mexican forward Javier Hernandez.
The 27 year old has been in terrific form for his side, Bayer Leverkusen, scoring 11 goals in 14 appearances for the club, earning the Bundesliga ‘player of the month’ two times in a row this season.
Under such form, it is unsurprising that the striker has now been linked (along with the million other players) to the currently misfiring Liverpool FC as it seems to have become common knowledge just how desperate Jürgen Klopp is to try and add goals to his team.
However with Hernandez now having played for two teams this season, it would be impossible for the player to sign during the January transfer window, making the summer window Klopp’s only option, if he truly desires the player.
Considering Javier’s previous employers were Liverpool rivals, Manchester United, it would seem hard to believe that a move for the player would be realistic. However, one could argue that Javier was treated rather shabbily at United, being underplayed and undervalued. Therefore meaning Hernandez could be willing to make a move to Merseyside.
