Borussia Monchengladbach defensive midfielder Havard Nordtveit is in talks to re-join his former employers, Arsenal, on a free in the summer.
According to German outlet Bild, Arsenal are keen to bring the defensive Norwegian player back to the Emirates after letting the now 25-year-old leave on a free transfer to the Bundesliga club.
Nordtveit didn’t make a single first-team appearance for the Gunners having joined from Norwegian side Haugesund in 2007 for a reported £2million transfer fee, spending most of his time in the under-21s teams, but Nordtveit could now make a return to North London, with Arsene Wenger keen to bolster his midfield options in the next transfer window.
The 25-year-old, who can also play at centre-back, is out of contract in the summer, and Bild reports that the Arsenal are already in talks with the Nordtveit camp over a deal to bring him back to the Premier League.
