Liverpool make ‘€60 million’ offer for Juventus Forward

Álvaro Morata

Juventus are reportedly ready to sell 23 year old attacker, Álvaro Morata in order to fund other transfers.

The attacker has appeared 18 times for the Italian giants this season, starting 10 of these on the bench. This has ignited rumours that the Old Lady may be willing to sell Morata, given the right price is offered.

Gazzetta dello Sport have reported that Liverpool have stepped forward with a €60 million offer on the Spanish forward. This offer has since been rejected as the black and white club are reportedly waiting until summer to ensure they have time to sign a suitable replacement.

Champions League performances in the 2014/15 season really helped make Morata a big name in Europe, as games on the biggest stage seemed to get the best out of the player. Games such as; the quarter-final versus AS Monaco, Morata managed to win a penalty which former teammate Vidal successfully converted; The semi-final versus his former club Real Madrid in which the Spaniard managed to guarantee his teams place in the final by getting on the scoresheet in both legs; In the final Álvaro yet again managed to find the net, however it was not enough to ensure victory as Juventus lost 3-1 to a dominant Barcelona.

However, this season seems to be telling a different story as the attacker has managed just the 1 goal this season in the Serie A. Even with last season’s performances in mind, if a big money move is on the cards for Liverpool, serious questions will have to be asked as to whether this man could be the answer to the Reds current struggles in front of goal.
