Premier League side Everton are demanding a fee believed to be worth £90million from Manchester United for 24-year-old Romelu Lukaku.

Reports first emerged on Thursday claiming that Everton and Manchester United have agreed an initial fee of £75million for the 24-year-old Belgian striker.

However, Sky Sports claimed earlier today that the Toffees are also demanding a series of add-ons and bonuses from United that means that the total fee will be pushed up to a whopping £90million.

Manchester United switched their attention to Lukaku on yesterday morning after pulling the plug on a deal for Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata. The two sides were believed to be only €5million apart in their valuations of the Spaniard.Manchester United boss Mourinho wants a new striker before the squad fly out to Los Angeles this Sunday.

Lukaku has already become the subject of disciplinary action from his current club Everton for failing to reports back for pre-season training on yesterday as he is believed to be in California where he has been on holidaying with potential new team-mate and Manchester United’s most expensive signing Paul Pogba.

The plan seems to be that Lukaku will be remaining in the United States for a medical before making the switch to the Old Trafford side and that he will join up with the rest of the squad when they arrive (should the deal be sorted out as soon as possible).

Meanwhile, Wayne Rooney is expected to make a return to Goodison Park. However, the United skipper’s switch won’t be linked to the Lukaku deal.
