The President of Brazilian club Gremio, has dismissed any reports that have claimed in recent weeks that they accepted a £24m bid for 24-year-old striker Luan.

Gremio president, Romildo Bolzan Jr spoke after Gremio’s 2-0 victory over Botafogo:

“We have no information, no official proposal,” he said. “We have absolutely no concrete proposal.”

Liverpool have already been linked with a host of Brazilian stars, including Douglas Costa, Lucas Moura, Rafinha and Talisca.

Liverpool are known to be interested in strengthening their attacking power this Summer, with Roma’s Mohamed Salah and Arsenal’s Oxlade-Chamberlain both believed to be targets for the Anfield side.

The Gremio President admitted recently that Gremio would be required to sell players at the end of the season as they are in need of funds.

24-year-old Luan will be entering the final year of his contract, and would still require a big transfer fee.
