Arsenal to launch bid for 29-year-old Primeira Liga star

According to a report by French Radio Station RMC, the Gunners are prepared to launch a £13million bid to sign Portugues international Rui Patricio, to replace Petr Cech.

The report claims that the Gunners will be challenging League 1 side Marseille for his services. Rui Patricio was voted as the best goalkeeper at the Euro 2016.

The 29-year-old has spent his whole career so far with Sporting Lisbon and has made just short of 400 appearances for the Portugese side.

Arsenal have Colombia keeper David Ospina in squad already along with Wojciech Szczesny, who has been told he will return to the Emirates once his season-long loan with Roma is at an end.

Would this be a good move for the Gunners?
