Chelsea are reportedly preparing a huge bid for Bayern Munich superstar Thomas Muller amid rumours that Diego Costa had a row with manager Antonio Conte earlier this week.
Antonio Conte dropped Costa from his squad which went on to beat Leicester City 3-0 at the King Power Stadium after rumours of a bust-up between the pair ahead of the clash.
Conte dropped striker Costa from the squad claiming that it was because of an ‘injury’ but reports are claiming that Costa has received an eye-watering offer from the Chinese Super League and could be tempted to make the move to China.
The Daily Express reported that if striker Costa leaves the club, Chelsea will make a £75million offer for Germany World Cup winner Muller.
Muller has been targeted by Chelsea’s Premier League rivals Manchester United for a long time now and has struggled for goals under Carlo Ancelotti this season. Bayern Munich legend Lothar Matthaus recently also hinted that the 27-year-old’s future may now be in doubt.
However after Chelsea’s win over Leicester, Conte dismissed any rumours surrounding Costa, saying:
“I don’t know anything about this.”
“The club doesn’t inform me about this so I don’t know anything about this.
“I think that if there are problems, I prefer to solve the problem in the changing room and not in the press conferences. I said if there are problems.”
