Roma defender Kostas Manolas has been linked with a move to the Premier League after rejecting a contract offer from his current club Roma.

Reports claim that Arsenal are extremely interested int he centre-back and are now keeping tabs on the situation Manolas finds himself in.

Italian outlet Calcio Mercato reported that the 25-year-old, who’s contract currently runs until 2019, was offered an improved deal believed to be worth £2.2million a season. However, the player was disappointed as he expected a much higher salary.

The Serie A side are believed to still be in talks over an improved contract with Manolas, but he could leave the club if they fail to meet his demands.

And this could play into the hands of Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger.
