According to a report by Eurosport FR, 25-year-old Algerian Riyad Mahrez is on his way to the Emirates.
The attacker had a fantastic season last season, and played a huge role in Leicester City’s Premier League success last season. He was awarded the best player in the Premier League last season.
Leicester City have been able to keep Vardy at the club but lost Kante to Chelsea this already this Summer. They could also be losing Mahrez this Summer if the report is to be believed as the report claims that the talks between the Premier League champions and runners-up have reached an advanced stage.
Claudio Ranieri told Sky Sports on Wednesday: “It’s over, the market is over here Mahrez wants to stay…”, this makes things very confusing as it is a bit early for him to be saying this as the window has quite a long way to go.
According to the report, Arsenal’s offer of €50million is too good for Leicester to refuse. The Premier League champions bought him for €450,000 and letting him go for €50million shouldn’t be a big problem for the club as they can use that money to strengthen their team.
Should Arsenal go for the attacker? What do you think?
