Manchester United join race for 25-year-old Real Madrid star

According to reports, Manchester United have joined the race to sign 25-year-old Colombia & Real Madrid star James Rodriguez, who is also believed to be on West Ham’s radar.

Reports are suggesting that Manchester United will be prepared to launch a huge £54m bid for the midfielder who is believed to be keen on leaving the La Liga giants for a move to the Premier League.

Rodriguez was one of the top performers at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil and was snapped up by Real Madrid right after the tournament.

The midfielder has struggled though, for game time especially since new Manager Zinedine Zidane started his regime. The midfielder did not feature at all in the Champions League final.

If Manchester United plan on making a move for the midfielder they would need to battle Premier League club West Ham, who have been linked with the player for some time now and are known to be seeking a marquee signing to mark their move to the Olympic Stadium.
