According to L’Equipe, Arsenal target Lacazette has asked for a move away from his current club and wants the move to be “quick and easy”.
It is no secret that the 25-year-old French forward has been a target for Arsene Wenger for quite some time now, with Wenger believed to be prepared to sign him only for the right price as he believe that the player has mot yet proven his credentials fully. He is still seen as the player with a lot of potential to be a top striker if played in the correct system and at the right club.
According to French reports, the striker asked for a move away from the club but wants it to be one that will be “quick and easy” and won’t be dragged on all Summer long.
If a move does go through as quick as he’d like, and Wenger secures his services, he could be the frontman for Arsenal in their opening game against Liverpool next month in the Premier League. Arsenal are lacking striking options with Giroud unlikely to return in time for the season after a long Summer of football with his country.
But many will wonder whether or not Arsenal should just fork out the money and spend it all on Napoli’s world-class striker Gonzalo Higuain instead of Lacazette. The 29-year-old Argentine is known to be a top striker and can really add quality to the Gunners who have a fantastic options in the midfield who can create chances for Higuain. The main question remains whether or not Wenger will be willing to pay the £78m fee Napoli have slapped on Higuain.
