According to TalkSPORT, Arsenal are watching 26-year-old France midfielder Moussa Sissoko, who was one of France’s top players at the Euros. Sissoko was arguably one of the best players on the pitch in the final of the competition.
Recent reports claim that Sissoko has already set his heart on a move away from Newcastle United, who were relegated to the Championship last season. Newcastle have valued their player at £35m though which seems like a bit much for the Frenchman.
There’s no doubt that this would be a good signing but do Arsenal need another midfielder? The Gunners have Coquelin, Xhaka, Elneny, Cazorla, Wilshere, Ramsey and even Ozil who are all capable of performing in the midfield role at the emirates so why add more midfielders? The Gunners are known to be in need of a top striker if they plan to compete with the best next season.
The fact that a striker is the priority this Summer makes it highly unlikely that Wenger will go for the midfielder. But what do you think? Should Wenger go for him?
