Real Madrid are reportedly pondering over a bid of £94million for Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba.
According to the Italian newspaper La Repubblica, Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is preparing to smash the world record transfer fee of which the club paid for both Cristiano Ronaldo in 2009 and Gareth Bale in 2013.
Real Madrid head coach Zinedine Zidane has made Pogba the main transfer target and believes that the player will give his side a significant boost this summer.
Despite winning an 11th European title with victory over local rivals Atletico Madrid last month it is now four years since they last won La Liga with Barcelona winning three titles and Atletico one during the intervening period.
Reports suggested that Pogba bought a house in Spain – but in Barcelona rather than Madrid – while Juventus are adamant he won’t be moving away from the club.
