Manchester City are reported to be interested in Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, with reports even going as far as saying that talks have advanced. Today a British reporter has claimed that Manchester City’s interest is nowhere near as close as is numerous reports are claiming.
The Dortmund striker, who is currently 26-year-old, scored 39 goals for Dortmund last season. On Tuesday Gianluca Di Marzio claimed that talks had progressed to an advanced stage. However, Daily Telegraph reported James Drucker claims that the approach from City that is being reported is not true at all.

Dortmund have already lost Ilkay Gundogan and Mats Hummels this summer and are in danger of parting ways with Arsenal transfer target Henrik Mkhitaryan this Summer as well. The club’s board want to strengthen the squad rather than lose more of they star players.
