Manchester United launch huge £60million bid to sign 23-year-old Serie A midfielder Paul Pogba from Juventus. A report by The Sun claims that Jose Mourinho has made Pogba his main target this Summer.
The paper also claimed that apart from the £60million, there will also be numerous add-ons and bonuses that will also add another £60million to the amount that United will be spending on securing the Frenchman’s services.
However, Juventus are extremely likely to demand a more upfront free for their star man. The Serie A winners value Pogba at around €100million which is around £70million+ and will want a sum closer to that if anything.
Pogba spent three seasons at Old Trafford and then left for Juventus after appointing Mino Raiola as his agent.
Past speculation has suggested he wouldn’t move back to Old Trafford as long as Sir Alex Ferguson was at the club in any kind of capacity, which may or may not be true, but he has expressed interest in the past in working with Mourinho.
United will face challenges to their bid to sign Pogba from either Real Madrid or Barcelona.
The Sun says there has been no response from Juventus.
