Jose Mourinho has been linked with a not so surprising move to PSG and a suprise link with Arsenal (based on Wenger’s future of course).
The Portuguese manager is the subject of heavy interest from Manchester United but Spanish paper Marca claim that he has been approached by French club PSG.
PSG had a nightmare against Manchester City earlier this month, crashing out of the champions League (again) in the Quarter finals of the competition.
The report claims that the Qatari owners of PSG believe that the club has gone as far as they can under Blanc’s management in the Champions League.
Earlier this month, Mourinho said: “I’ll take my ideas where they are wanted the most. I like to be where I am truly wanted; it is a feeling that I need to give the maximum.
“I want to work at a club with responsibilities in a difficult league and within those parameters the reality is that there are not many options open to meet me. I shall decide calmly.”
PSG are 28 points ahead of second-placed Monaco with four games left to play in Ligue 1, which may not be the ‘difficult’ league that Mourinho is looking for. They have scored more than 50 percent more goals than any other side and their defensive record is also far superior than any of their rivals.
Marca also added that Mourinho is also being linked with interest from Arsenal even though Arsene Wenger’s position at the Emirates looks safe – for now, at least, but with the manager now having to battle for 4th again, it looks like his position may be in danger. He will also be in the last year of his contract after this season.
Where should Mourinho go? Feel free to comment.
