According to a report by the Evening Standard, Chelsea are stepping up their efforts to sign Fulham’s 19-year-old star Dembélé in the Summer.
The youngster will be out of contract at the end for season and has received interest from a host of clubs after hitting the net 16 times for Championship side Fulham, who are struggling in the league.
London rivals Spurs almost signed the youngster in January (If reports are to be believed), but things seems to have cooled down in terms of interest from the North-London side.
It is no surprise that Chelsea are preparing to strengthen their attack in the Summer as they seek to revamp uno their squad for next season, as the season has been a huge failure for the club. Dembélé would be a very good start for recovery even though many would argue that Chelsea need to go for players who have established themselves as world-class players already.
Although if he does join it would only be typical of Chelsea to loan him out for a while so maybe he’s more one for the future, but nevertheless, it would be a quality addition to the squad either way.
Is this a good move for chelsea?
