The former Chelsea boss will attempt to lure Tottenham’s Harry Kane to the Theatre of Dreams if appointed successor to Louis Van Gaal.
Kane has shrugged off suggestions of being a one season wonder by netting 22 goals this premier league season, following his 31 goals in all competitions for his club last year.
Mourinho has made his admiration for the player’s work rate, pace and intensity known ever since the Englishman’s two goals against Chelsea last year.
And according to the Independent, the Portuguese will launch a huge £60million bid to end Kane’s reign with Spurs.
However, Daniel Levy has reiterated that no valuable member of the team is up for sale, which is understandable considering the club’s title push this season.
The goal scorer himself has also confirmed his intentions to stay with the Lilywhites for the rest of his career, so it remains to be seen if the Special One can seal a special signing.
