After much speculation, the Turkish side have confirmed no bids for Fernando Muslera have been tabled by Spurs.
The Uruguayan has been with the Istanbul based club since 2011, after signing from Lazio for a combined fee believed to be around €12 million – making him the most expensive goalkeeper in Turkish history.
An official club statement spoke: “No offers have been received from Tottenham Hotspur nor have negotiations taken place for our goalkeeper Fernando Muslera.”
The 29 year old has appeared in every single one of Galatasaray’s league games this season, and has one a total of 77 international caps.
Hugo Lloris and Michel Vorm occupy the goalkeeping department at White Hart Lane, in that department, but rumors broke out last week that the former could be on his way to Real Madrid
And with the News of Galatasaray being suspended from European competitions for a year breaking at the beginning of the week – and Champions league football almost secured in North London – the player would be within reason to make the transition.
