Mauricio Pochettino has singled out Lorenzo Insigne in his hunt to find another forward.
The Italian has scored 12 goals for his club already this season, which has attracted the interest of the North London club, according to transfermarketweb.
Many eye brows were raised when Daniel levy failed to seal a goal scorer during the January transfer window – with Clinton N’jie injured and Harry Kane burdening the responsibility again – but it is understood he will splash the cash in the off season.
At 24 years, the singing of Insigne would demonstrate real intent from Spurs – who are on the verge of securing Champions league football for only the second time in their history.
In fact, Winger Nacer Chadli had to fill the void left Kane in their 3-0 win against Fiorentina, after the English goal machine had to sit out with a broken nose. It is expected he will return upfront against Swansea on Sunday, though.
Insigne currently has three years remaining at the Stadio San Paolo, but it is thought that they would listen to offers of £18million.
