News of a potential return for one Luis Suarez has emerged today, much to the delight of Liverpool fans around the world.

The Uruguayan striker who netted 82 goals in just 133 appearances for the Reds left Merseyside for Barcelona in the summer of 2014 for a whopping fee of £75 million, a fee which some fans felt was not enough for a player of his standards.

Since joining the Catalan giants, El Pistolero has already managed to complete one treble winning season in 2015. This season the striker currently stands as the top goalscorer in La Liga with 18 goals to his name, giving his club a great chance of retaining their title.

Such form is a constant reminder to Liverpool fans just what they’re missing out on. However, the striker may have just given some fans a glimmer of hope on a possible return for their former talisman.

When asked about a return to the Merseyside club, ESPN reported Suarez as saying “You never know what will happen in the future. If I was to return to England, it would be to play for Liverpool, not for any other team.”

“I’ve missed the fans. The atmosphere is incredible. Everyone that has played for Liverpool knows how important the supporters are. They know that they’re in my heart.”

Although a move back to Liverpool may simply be a fantasy for the fans to dream about, it seems clear that the player continues to have strong feelings for his former employers.
