According to El Confidencial, Arsenal are stepping up their pursuit of Real Madrid midfielder Isco.
Last week it was reported that Real Madrid president Florentino Perez would be willing to listen to offers for the 23-year-old attacking midfielder, and that the Los Blancos president would be interested in offers of around £25million.
However since then Arsene Wenger’s interest of the attacking midfielder has ramped up according to El Confidencial, were the Spanish outlet claims Wenger is a keen admirer of Isco and wants to bring in him as cover for star midfielder Mesut Ozil.
Elsewhere, Arsenal could be set to miss out on Nigerian youngsters Kelechi Nwakali and Samuel Chukwueze, according to Football Insider.
The two players, both 16 and 17-years-old respectively, might not be eligible to sign for the Gunners due to FIFA’s rules on signing players under the ages of 18. This act has seen teams such as Barcelona, and more recently Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid receive transfer bans for signing players that are underaged.
